Research Partnership with the University of Cambridge and Wellcome Leap

At Babyzone, we’ve always been committed to supporting families with young children—and recent research highlights just how important that support is. We’ve partnered with the University of Cambridge and Wellcome Leap to conduct a groundbreaking survey as part of the First 1000 Days (1kD) program. This $45 million initiative brings together top experts to focus on improving brain development during the crucial early years.

The results were eye-opening: over 50% of UK parents reported that they don’t have enough time to play with their child—one of the most vital activities for healthy growth. This finding underscores the immense pressures parents face, making it harder for them to engage with their children during these formative years.

At Babyzone, we’re on a mission to change that. With five centres now open and more on the way, we provide a safe and supportive environment where families can connect, play, and learn together—without the pressure and stress of daily life. Our evidence-based classes, available for free, are designed to empower parents with the knowledge and confidence they need to support their child's development.

As we continue to grow, we are actively seeking early years charities and organisations in the UK to partner with us in this vital work. Together, we can amplify our impact and provide more families with the resources and community support they need to thrive.
