The charity has also appointed a new chief executive, George Looker, former special adviser to the education secretary in 2015, Nicky Morgan.
Babyzone, which currently operates eight hubs across England, has announced plans to open a further 20 within the next 24 months, targeting communities with the ‘greatest unmet need’ including Grimsby, Swansea and Glasgow.
Babyzone Hubs provide free services and activities for families with children from birth to five. They also operate as ‘living laboratories’, providing free access to evidence-based programmes, health services and peer support.
It comes as a record number of families have visited the charity’s hubs in the last year.
